Need info on old JVC cam

My boss wanted to throw away an old video camera and I saved it in about the last second.

Now I'd like to get some information about this camera, but apparently it is too old to be mentioned on the internet.

It is a JVC model CV-5001. If someone knows this cam and give me some background ifno I'd be very happy.

Yeah, I think that piece of camera is so old that it just can't be found on the internet. I tried all known search engines, but couldn't find something.

BTW: The model aint 5001 but "CV-F503PAL".

Try the manufactor- what format is it anyway? might make a good stunt camera? one always needs a good stunt camera.

I tried all JVC sites I could find on the net... no info available.

The camera doesn't record on tape. Apparently you'll need to connect it with some kind of 'special' video recorder in order to 'store' the pictures.

I'll try to make some photos so you can see what a weird camera I just got

just a hunch, but if the deck is seperate then its a good chance its Betamax, i have an old sony camera like that

try looking on the web for Betamax and JVC
